Guns for Hire (once United Mercenary Squad) is a friendly group of guys who like to play Urban Ops. We are not a clan that holds to a strict regiment. There are no meetings, no classes, just fun play. We are five guys who know how to get along and know what team play is all about.
Q: How do I join Guns For Hire??
A: Care to join the team? We're always lookin for other guys to join the fun. The more the merrier.
The best way to get added to the team is to just play with us. If you're a decent player, and you're a regular you'll more then likely be approached to join.
Q: Who's the team leader?
A: We don't have an official Team Leader, however Guns For Hire (and UMS) is the brainchild of DeadEye, so I guess we could call him leader, but don't forget, this isn't a clan of classes. We're just here to have fun.
Q: Who's the host?
A: Ichibod Krain usually hosts, but when he's not around you can expect one of the other members to offer up his server.
Q: What's with all these rules???
A: Ichibod is a little strict when it comes to his server. He believes that any good fun comes with some rules. After hosting on Microsoft Zone for over a year, and encountering many childish players (just because you're the age of majority, that doesn't make you adult-minded), he decided to come up with rules to try to help weed out the more childish players. It seems like a lot of rules to remember, but once you put it into practice you'll see it's not that difficult at all. They are more common sense then rules.
Q: Does Guns For Hire play any other games?
A: Currently we are only playing Urban Operations (with a lot of modifications added) but I'm sure once we see other games with the same caliber we'll spread out.
Q: Where is the server? I can't seem to find it on the Zone.
A: At the moment Ichi's mostly hosting IP games. He plans to play more Zone games in the future or possibly announce his server on GameSpy, but if you've found this page by accident, or thru a friend, add Ichibod2 (the chat nick) and Ichibod (the zone nick) to your zone friends list and contact him. After you've read the rules he'll most likely give you his IP to come and join in the fun.
